Millwright maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Being a Millwright interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Additionally, Millwright troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require OSHA Forklift Operator Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Millwright works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Millwright typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. Minimum 2 yrs Field Experience In The Field As A Journeyman Millwright (i.e machine unloading,setting,leveling,anchoring, installing pumps / valves, conveyors, pipe threading, pipe hanging, installing pipe hangers,etc.)
Must have experience using power tools (ie, grinder, portaband, sawzall, drill, hammer drill,etc)
Must have experience safely operating lifts (ie. scissor lift, fork lift, gradall / lull,etc)
Must Have Valid SC Driver’s License
Must be able to pass a background check
Must have working cell phone w / voicemail
Must have valid working email address
Must have dependable transportation (work area is 75 mile radius of Cola,SC)
Work schedule is Mon thru Thurs (7am to 5 : 30pm) with overtime as required
Must be dependable and team player with SAFETY FIRST in mind at all time
Pay Rate up to $24 (Depending on experience) NO PER DIEM
