Millwright maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Being a Millwright interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Additionally, Millwright troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require OSHA Forklift Operator Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Millwright works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Millwright typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. Are you experienced as a millwright in agricultural construction? We are looking for a foreman/leadman to assist in the responsibilities of running a small crew out of the Fresno, CA area. We anticipate that this crew will primarily work Monday-Friday in California with some OT as needed.
We are an industry leading team specializing in the innovative design and construction of seed, feed, grain, and food processing facilities. This work includes erecting structural steel, installing and welding decking, bearing and belt repair/maintenance, installation of specialized equipment, field-building custom transitions, dust collection maintenance, and many other millwright/ironworker tasks.
