Millwright maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Being a Millwright interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Additionally, Millwright troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require OSHA Forklift Operator Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Millwright works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Millwright typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.   • We are searching for a talented and qualified candidate who has interest in gaining experience in agriculture and construction repairs. Working with our small, dedicated crew, you will be responsible for installing new drying systems to complete grain storage and handling systems. Additionally, you will be part of the crew maintaining the systems for years after the sale.

    The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined with an interest in the agriculture industry. Previous farm/agriculture experience is a plus! Must be a team player with strong attention to detail. In this position, you should also be able to make decisions, troubleshoot, and perform repairs safely and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work directly and assist Foreman on all levels of installs and repairs.
    • Work independently and troubleshoot/problem solve on the fly.
    • Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance repairs.
    • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation.
    • Perform light and medium fabrication while on the jobsite.
    • Construct and install equipment such as grain handling equipment.
    • Review and interpret specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
    • Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and torches, hoist, jacks, hand tools, etc.
    • Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment/product and completing jobs.
    • Work at various customer sites

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
    • Previous agriculture experience preferred.
    • Mechanically inclined.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Willingness to learn
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt.
