Mine Foreman supervises a staff who prepares, inspects, and works in mining projects such as underground or surface mining. Ensures the staff performs project research, design calculations, and records accuracy of mining activities. Being a Mine Foreman may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. May require certification by the MSHA. Additionally, Mine Foreman typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mine Foreman manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Register guests and assign rooms, accommodating special requests whenever possible
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
- Assist with resolving guest complaints or issues, escalating to management when necessary
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean and ready for guest arrivals
- Maintain a neat and organized front desk area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Strong guest relations skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hotel management systems is a plus
- Bilingual skills (e.g., English/Spanish) are desirable but not required
