Mine Foreman supervises a staff who prepares, inspects, and works in mining projects such as underground or surface mining. Ensures the staff performs project research, design calculations, and records accuracy of mining activities. Being a Mine Foreman may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. May require certification by the MSHA. Additionally, Mine Foreman typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mine Foreman manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Qualifications:
*2 years of crew lead experience preferred
*Basic knowledge of landscape materials; retaining walls, pavers, plant material, etc.
*Ability to safely operate wide range of landscape equipment
*Possess a valid driver's license with ability to obtain Class A
*Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, customers, suppliers, etc.
*Ability to read and interpret a landscape design/plan
Duties:
The Landscape Foreman will lead day-to-day job site activities; read and interpret landscape plans, provide direction to the landscape crew, coordinate job site material deliveries, communicate with customers and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
*Available to work Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work.
*Pay commensurate with experience.
