Mine Foreman supervises a staff who prepares, inspects, and works in mining projects such as underground or surface mining. Ensures the staff performs project research, design calculations, and records accuracy of mining activities. Being a Mine Foreman may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. May require certification by the MSHA. Additionally, Mine Foreman typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mine Foreman manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Position available for utility line clearance crew Foreman. The crew Foreman will supervise and coordinate activities associated with the safety, productivity, and quality of the field work processes in the assigned area(s).
Experience in the tree/line clearance industry is necessary, 3 to 5 years verifiable line clearance experience or related tree work experience. CDL License is a plus. Previous Foreman experience required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Herbicide or ISA licenses are a plus.
Work Schedule: 4 -10 HR days, schedule is either Monday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Friday. Candidate must be available for Over-time & storm work as needed.
Rate of Pay: Varies depending upon Skills and Experience.
Work Area: Travel required. Candidates must be flexible to travel regionally when called upon since work locations are subject to change upon short notice based on contract demands.
