480 or 6400 Dragline Operator

Duties:

• Operate 480 or 6400 dragline powered by diesel / hydraulic and electrical in and around the excavating area as safety permits
• Proficient operation of dragline controls and dragline set-up process
• Conduct routine equipment checks for proper operation
• Maintain mechanical condition of dragline by inspecting and reporting items needing service or repair to Supervisor and / or maintenance personnel
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, repairing and cleaning
• Make daily workplace inspections and pre-shift equipment inspections
• Operate equipment efficiently and safely to limit downtime and minimize costs
• Complies with all Safety, Health, Environmental, and other Company policies, procedures, and requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Must be available to work Mondays- Fridays 6:00 am – 6:00 pm, some Saturdays 6:00 am -12:00 pm
• Heavy Lifting required (70 Lbs. or more)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of operating draglines in a mining environment
• Prior experience operating a dragline is required
• Demonstrated ability to operate dragline with excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
• Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms and legs
• Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions and in and around artificial light
• Team Oriented and Safety Conscious
• Good communication skills
• Must have good work ethic
• Show up to work on time and every day scheduled
