Mine Manager is responsible for the overall management of mining projects. Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance. Being a Mine Manager ensures the safety and health of mine workers. Recommends corrective action when problems are detected. Additionally, Mine Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. May require certification by the MSHA. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mine Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Mine Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     The Restaurant General Manager will be responsible and accountable for all restaurant activities and assumes complete responsibility for the restaurant as necessary. He or she will oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant including sales, fiscal operations, accounting, recruitment, and maintenance of the building and equipment

    The General Manager will have a unique opportunity to lead a talented team and drive the restaurant’s success in delivering an unparalleled guest experience.


    Business Strategy and Development:
    • Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
    • Identify opportunities for new revenue streams, events, and partnerships to enhance the overall guest experience and market presence.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective marketing campaigns and promotions to attract new clientele and retain existing guests.
    Financial Management:
    • Participate in budget planning, financial reporting, and analysis to control costs and maximize profitability.
    • Set financial goals, monitor performance against targets, and implement
    corrective actions when necessary.
    • Manage labor costs, liquor costs, and other controllable expenses to maintain optimal financial performance.
    • Be able to give monthly reporting and analysis of final financial results with plan and strategy for improvement.
    Staff Recruitment, Training and Development:
    • Lead recruiting, hiring, and training new staff members, ensuring they are aligned with the restaurant’s brand and service standards.
     
    • Support and lead the development and implementation of staff training programs to enhance skills and promote a culture of excellence.
    • Coordinate and oversee staff training programs to ensure all team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to provide exceptional service.
    • Encourage professional growth and career development opportunities for the team.
    Team Leadership and Management:
    • Provide leadership and direction to all departments, including hosts, servers, bartenders, bussers, and barbacks.
    • Foster a positive work environment, motivate the team, and promote a culture of
    excellence and hospitality.
    • Conduct regular meetings with department heads to review performance, address challenges, and set objectives.
    Operations and Guest Experience:
    • Ensure the restaurant's operations run smoothly and efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
    • Oversee guest relations and handle escalated customer service issues to ensure swift resolution and a positive guest experience.
    • Maintain a strong presence on the floor to exceed each customer’s expectations of our establishment.
    • Maintain strong relationships and identify all VIP clients
    • Implement and enforce health and safety procedures, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
    Marketing and Community Involvement:
    • Participate in all Marketing related initiatives. Understand reasons behind and methods of marketing.
    • Join and participate actively in one or more Chicago social events per week and become highly attuned to the local economic and competitive environment.
    Event Planning and Execution:
     
    • Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute special events, ensuring they align with the brand and enhance overall revenue and guest engagement.
    Vendor and Supplier Management:
    • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, secure quality products, and optimize pricing.
    Quality Control and Standards:
    • Maintain the high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and overall ambiance.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards in all areas of the restaurant.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in a senior management role in the Restaurant/Hospitality Industry, preferably as a General Manager.
    • Strong sales and marketing acumen, with a track record of driving revenue
    growth.
    • Exceptional financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
    • Effective leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse
    team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with staff and guests.
    • Extensive knowledge of nightlife operations, event planning, and industry trends.
    • Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and solve problems effectively.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
