Mine Manager is responsible for the overall management of mining projects. Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance. Being a Mine Manager ensures the safety and health of mine workers. Recommends corrective action when problems are detected. Additionally, Mine Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. May require certification by the MSHA. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mine Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Mine Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Job Summary:
You are an experienced Excavator Operator, who takes pride in the safe and efficient operation of production mining equipment in a surface pit operation. You will be operating a Cat 336 excavator to move waste and mineral materials to support site development operations and clean-up highwalls.

- Safe and efficient operation of Cat 336 excavator to meet production targets
- Safe and efficient operation of 777 Cat haul trucks to meet production targets may also be required
- Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
- Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience operating large track excavator equipment in a surface mining environment
- MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal ticket is required; training and support is provided to obtain or update certificate as needed.
- Must have valid photo identification
Work Conditions:
- Ability to work overtime may be required
- Employee benefits package and 401k plan participation offered after 60 days of continuous employment
Compensation Range
