Mine Manager is responsible for the overall management of mining projects. Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance. Being a Mine Manager ensures the safety and health of mine workers. Recommends corrective action when problems are detected. Additionally, Mine Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. May require certification by the MSHA. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mine Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. The Project Manager will work on water supply/distribution, water quality and wastewater collection/treatment projects. This individual will work closely with the Municipal Team Leader and other members of a multi-disciplinary team. The Project Manager / Engineer will be responsible to oversee all technical aspects of a project, as well as administration and management duties. The individual will be responsible to manage the design of water main distribution systems, storm facilities and sanitary pump stations, water booster stations, gravity and low-pressure sanitary sewer systems.
