Mobile Applications Developer, Sr. jobs in Baton Rouge, LA

JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION:  Responsible for creating and maintaining applications and services. As part of those responsibilities, the Sr. Applications Developer will work with lower-level developers, end-users and other technical groups to design, implement and update new applications and services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:

1. Take lead role in the analysis, evaluation, build, and implementation of new and modified applications. 

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Write clean, scalable code Openness to contribute ideas and creative solutions Develop responsive and scalable user interfaces Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture Create and test software prototypes Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and languages quickly Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices Assist software personnel in handling project related work and other requirements Coordinate with other software professionals and developers Provide on call services and work off-shifts as needed.

2.  Monitor and complete customer cases for such items as break/fix, requests for change, and service requests in a timely manner as dictated by customer support policies.

Ensure development issues are appropriately communicated to the proper personnel Understand customer business processes Maintain documentation related to the support of developed applications

3.  Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications for Developer

5 years of development experience Advanced knowledge with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC) Knowledge of at least one of the following languages (C#, jQuery, and SQL) Ability to work in an Agile environment and an understanding of Agile methodologies Experience with Source Control and Git Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 Knowledge of REST and Soap APIs

Preferred Candidate

Familiarity with HL7, FHIR standards Knowledge of the following languages (AngularJS, and Node JS) Knowledge of mobile development frameworks (ie. Native, Xamarin) Knowledge of building microservices (highly reusable code) Experienced in working in an Azure cloud environment Knowledge of Microsoft O365 environment including developing Power Apps, Power Flows and in Dynamics 365

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related study (CIS, Engineering, Ect..)

SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Strong attention to detail Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to think critically, assess input on system requests and develop possible solutions Able to work well in a team setting Proven strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to come up with application designs based on business requirements.

Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: medical record without limitation, patient demographics, lab results, patient financial and 3 rd party billing information, patients related complaints, information related to patient location.

Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: incident reporting, exposure control plan, hand washing for all age groups.
