Position Description:

Coordinate new project development and analyzes new product launches.

Tasks Of The Position:

• Transition of new products into mass production at plant level
• Plan and organize trial production runs for new products
• Identify and countermeasure exiting or potential problems that could impact launch
• Coordinate material arrangements to support trail builds
• Set, measure and track new product launch goals, targets and project status
• Coordinate all New Model Reviews and supporting GAP sheets
• New Model part check in/receiving inspection
• Secondary BOM Checks
• Honda R & D build coordination, portal coordination
• Support new supplier activities
• Coordinate training of second shift associates
• SAP developments/follow up for projects
• Support build out activity
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Support 5S initiatives
• Support Kaizen events

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read blue prints, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Understanding of analyzing data, problem solving, and countermeasures
• Ability to lift 30-55 LBS
• Working knowledge of computer systems; familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Possesses organizational, priority/time management, problem solving, conflict resolution, and judgement abilities.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and organizational skills to promote and sustain positive internal and external relationships
• Demonstrate and present effective verbal/written communication skills to compose and/or edit written materials.
• Must be well organized
• Self-motivated, self-started with an eagerness to continue to learn
• Establish constructive working relationships with customer and colleagues.
• Stays informed of current practice developments within the profession, and uses educational and training opportunities to ensure continual professional competence

Qualifications:

• Post High School training or college course work

Job Requirements:

• Participate and support continuous improvement activities to include 5S, Kaizen, Quick Hits, Six Sigma, and other related
• Continuous improve events
• Safety Apparel (PPE) and uniform mandatory
• Must be able to continuously life 30 to 75 LBS. and occasionally carry a distance of 30 to 50 feet.
• Task that require continuous reaching, kneeling, grasping, twisting, bending, leaning and extension of upper body.
• Perform job requirements of a Production Associate as needed
• Work daily assigned shift to include overtime, up to and including production Saturdays, shutdown days, and holidays as needed
• Follow all company policies including ISO 9001 2008/ISO 14000 and QOS adherence (where applicable) and MAI Companies' (GLA,GSA,IA) Associate Handbook and Safety Manual
• Valid drivers license and ability to drive GLA Company vehicles
