We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing cabinets and other wooden furniture. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and proficiency in various woodworking techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Construct and assemble cabinets, shelves, and other wooden furniture according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to ensure accurate production
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, and finish wood pieces
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and knobs on finished products
- Repair or restore existing cabinets and furniture as needed
- Collaborate with designers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role
- Proficiency in woodworking techniques such as cutting, shaping, and finishing wood
- Knowledge of different types of wood materials and their characteristics
- Familiarity with cabinet design principles and construction methods
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measurements accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials when necessary
