Parcel is seeking a Furniture Maker. This person will play a key role within the business. This person will report to Parcel’s Production Manager and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in woodworking, carpentry, finishing, welding, assembly, are relevant, but not all are specifically required.
Woodworking Skills:
Safely operate industrial equipment such as saws, planers, jointers, and routers to cut and shape wood.
Verify dimensions with templates, gauges, and tape rulers.
Finishing products by sanding and staining.
Inspect all parts prior to assembly for defects.
Other General Responsibilities:
Assembly of products.
Packaging, crating and loading product for shipping.
Transport materials to and from vendors up to 100 miles away.
Participate in continual improvement of processes and the resolution of problems.
General cleaning of workspace and tool maintenance.
Our Requirements:
High School Degree.
1-2 years of experience in manufacturing environment or trade school.
Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Have the ability to read shop drawings.
Have the ability to operate powered industrial equipment.
Have valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving and maneuvering a truck and trailer (non CDL—we have an F250 and 14’ Trailer)
Have the ability to lift 70 lbs. on a frequent basis.
Bend, kneel, sit, stand, and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
