Being a Monitor Technician provides notes to medical staff in charge of the patient. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Additionally, Monitor Technician may require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Monitor Technician works under moderate supervision. Our Monitor Technicians provide continuous visual surveillance of numerous patient cardiac rhythm monitors and notify appropriate personnel immediately of changed and/or life-threatening dysrhythmias. They will perform quality EKGs and place scan Holter monitors. Transtelephonic Pacemaker Clinic (if cross trained). Work is performed in patient care areas throughout the hospital.
