Monitor Technician examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Being a Monitor Technician provides notes to medical staff in charge of the patient. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Additionally, Monitor Technician may require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Monitor Technician works under moderate supervision. We are looking for someone who has extensive experience overseeing AND/OR delivering the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). To serve 150 patients with diabetes across CT, your role will be to help us with the outreach, coordination, logistics, supplies, materials, and data assessments. If you are certified to deliver DPP - you will instruct the classes as well. If you are not certified to deliver DPP- you will help us to manage the team of DPP Coaches. We estimate this job to take 15-20 hours per week. There is a potential for Full-Time employment in the future.

– Education and/or experience in program coordination/management.
– Education in, and/or experience with health promotion programs and nutrition (preferred: Diabetes Prevention Program).
– Supervisory abilities- Proficient in various computer applications, including spreadsheets
– Sufficient experience to carry out the duties of this position
– Ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to the patients and to the providers of Monitor My Health
