    Minimal overnight travel: This full-time position is based in Lake Oswego and the sales territory is primarily NW Oregon. You must have your own reliable transportation, and travel to customer sites is reimbursed. This is not a telecommuting position.

    WHAT THIS POSITION OFFERS

    Compensation includes excellent base, commissions, bonuses, and profit-sharing. Annual base pay is $60 - $80k depending on experience.

    -401(k) with 85% match on up to 10% contribution

    -Stock in the company is awarded after a qualifying period.

    Point Monitor strongly supports the individual in this position by providing product and sales training, recognition for accomplishments, freedom and autonomy to pursue your market, strong backup resources from coworkers and management in the areas of strategizing and technical support, attractive sales literature and customer presentations, laptop and cell phone.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Prospecting, networking, estimating, creating proposals, meeting with customers, attending shows, potentially working with engineers or decision makers to get systems and services specified, some degree of forecasting, maintaining out-to-bid and in-design logs. You will provide specifics of the initial sale to achieve an effective handoff to operations and customer service staff.

    THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BRING:

    · Two years prior business to business sales experience (Required)

    · Experience and market knowledge of fire/security/HVAC systems and controls are a major plus

    · Ability to execute according to a plan.

    · High integrity personally and in business.

    · Problem-solving / troubleshooting skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

    · Curious and questioning mindset – we’re all about custom design and system integration

    · Organized, detail-oriented and self-directed.

    · High initiative toward professional development.

    · Proven ability to work cross-functionally / values teamwork.

    · Maintains a sense of humor in a fast-paced environment.

    · Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written.

    · Competence in Microsoft Office

    · Bachelor’s degree or similar education and experience
