Being a Monitor Technician provides notes to medical staff in charge of the patient. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Additionally, Monitor Technician may require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Monitor Technician works under moderate supervision. RWJBH is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician for our Telemetry Services at the New Brunswick campus,
This is a Part-Time Evening position,
-Continuous monitoring of adult and pediatric cardiac rhythms of patients with telemetry orders
-Notifying nursing staff of changes in rhythms, rhythms creating crisis alarms, 'leads fail' alarms, etc,
-Documents in EPIC charting communication with nursing staff
Requirements/Qualifications:
-American Heart Association CPR required
-Certification following satisfactory passing grade in the RWJUH Monitor Technician and EKG course
-Previous telemetry experience preferred
