Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large mortgage company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking a Mortgage Banker Assistant in our Greensboro, North Carolina office to join our team.

What you’ll be doing

• Contacting borrowers to collect supporting documentation, and ensuring information is submitted for processing.
• Organizing client documents for new loan files and requests for appraisals and title work.
• Correcting any compliance items as needed and sending them to Compliance to be cleared.
• Conducting Post-Closing tasks to include preparing and sending letters to listing and selling agents, inputting agents into Total Expert and weekly email list, sending post-closing emails, and setting up clients for client connect cards.
• Ordering office supplies and keeping up with office and administrative tasks.
• Researching common client and agent questions about the mortgage industry.
• Assisting with marketing endeavors to include pop-bys, marketing swag, Mortgage Banker fliers, promotional products, and all other items used for branding.
• Serving as the gatekeeper to the Mortgage Banker's database and regularly updating it with new client information.
• Partnering with Mortgage Bankers to develop a customized strategy for their business. Responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing events.
• Arranging and attending networking events and introducing Mortgage Bankers to established industry contacts.
• Identifying and pursuing referral sources.
• Developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with existing referral sources.
• Increasing public visibility and awareness of the company and Mortgage Bankers.
• Assist Mortgage Bankers in building a business plan with the Sales Manager.
• Sending birthday, holiday, and other personal cards to clients to deepen relationships and show appreciation.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring

• 1 - 2 years' experience in the mortgage industry as a Loan Officer Assistant preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and work with all levels and varying positions of staff
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment
• Ability to adapt well to technology
