SUMMARY
The Assistant Syringe Collection Program Coordinator will work in the Syringe
Collection Program in the City of Lowell which is located within the Substance Abuse and Prevention Division of the Health and Human Services Department. The Assistant
Syringe Collection Program Coordinator will work with the Syringe Collection Program
(SCP) Coordinator with organizing and implementing the City of Lowell’s efforts to address syringe collection throughout the City as well as community education regarding safe syringe access and disposal. This staff member will be tasked with the collection of discarded syringes throughout the city’s public areas. This staff member will build relationships with community organizations to identify and coordinate educational activities surrounding safe syringe exchange programs. This staff member will assist with community outreach and community events which may include some occasional night and weekend hours.

LANGUGAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, partners and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math. Ability to conduct basic statistical evaluations using percentages. Ability to create and read graphs for conveying information to stakeholders, supervisors and the public.
