    Summary:

    SUMMARY : The Mortgage Servicing Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision and operation of assigned servicing area(s). The incumbent insures compliance with government/investor/insurer regulations and other servicing related guidelines, as well as, timeliness and accuracy of the process to ensure minimal risk and loss exposure. Additionally, the Mortgage Servicing Supervisor examines department processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies. The Mortgage Servicing Supervisor must set department goals, implement policies and procedures, and remain current on new technology and market trends related to Mortgage Servicing.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Directly serves as the first point of supervision for the assigned associates. Coordinates team activities and balances workload (e.g., scheduling, shift management, and other administrative duties.
    • Coordinate work with investors, attorneys, and/or other third party service providers to provide needed information, monitor timeliness and accuracy of processes, and to address compliance issues surrounding government/investor/insurer regulations.
    • Ensure that data requests for audits and exams are handled in a timely manner and data provided is accurate. Represent the assigned department in various audit interviews and exams, answering questions and providing additional information as needed.
    • Responsible for the development and training of associates on all aspects of the various tasks and functions.
    • Works to continually improve policies, procedures and processes; tracks trending of issues and formulates recommendations for management to address recurring issues.
    • Collaborate with the Manager of assigned area(s) to resolve problems or issues. Assist the Manager with change implementation.
    • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with external and internal customers; investors, insurers, attorneys, vendors, realtors and others.
    • Provide supervision of the Qualified Written Requests (QWR) tracking reports along with monitoring the DVPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) portal for accuracy of all functions within the complaint process as directed.
    • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes, but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Directly supervises 2 or more FTE’s as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


    Responsibilities:

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Associates Degree or equivalent related experience required.
    • 3 years mortgage, legal, default related, or financially regulated experience required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
    • FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) certification within 60 days required.
    • Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
    • Mortgage servicing experience preferred.
    • Supervisory experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of Arvest policies and procedures preferred.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • The incumbent must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills when dealing with customers, vendors, and other personnel.
