Mortgage Development Manager manages a team of mortgage lending specialists in developing customer relationships, promoting mortgage loan products, and attaining volume and profit goals. Ensures that application processing follows state, federal, and organizational policies and guidelines and that customers have accurate loan information and guidance about product options. Being a Mortgage Development Manager conducts team training on company products and services. Coaches team members to promote a sales culture, improve selling techniques, and meet goals. Additionally, Mortgage Development Manager monitors trends and developments in the real estate markets and changes to private and government-insured mortgages. Maintains relationships with a network of realtors, attorneys, CPAs, and other contacts to obtain referrals and facilitate the lending process. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mortgage Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Mortgage Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Provides lead group direction and day-to-day financial oversight of budget, accounting, project accounting. Provides strategic leadership and analysis in the utilization of information systems within the department and input to recommended policies that have a major operational impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provides recording and reporting of accounting and financial transactions, ensuring that all fiscal operations are in compliance.
    • Banks reconciliation , account receivable/payables with understanding of debit/credit.
    • Oversees internal department finances.
    • Provides work lead direction and supervisory oversight to financial staff while participating in the work
    • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in setting priorities, determining
    • Interprets new and existing federal and state regulations and their effect on areas of assigned responsibility
    • Account receivable /Payables
    • Ensure home owners are current on their dues, financing for HOA Association.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Extensive knowledge of and ability to apply extensive expertise to complex principles and practices of fiscal management
    • Ability to communicate with constituents in a professional and respectful manner
    • High proficiency in PC compatible software programs such as Word, EXCEL and Access
    • Ability to use persuasion and negotiation skills to build consensus to achieve short-and long-term goals and objectives
    • Ability to analyze computerized accounting records, and to research and correct computer data errors
    • Ability to develop, design databases, and create reports

    Required Qualifications

    • A bachelor's degree and/or 5 years experience
    • 3 years of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Accounting experience preferred in construction management, property/facility management and knowing Apfolio is a PLUS.
    • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
