Join us as a Loan QA Manager and take charge of overseeing the daily operations of our Loan Quality Assurance team. Your role will be pivotal in minimizing risks associated with consumer and commercial lending activities, ensuring that every loan transaction meets our stringent quality standards.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop team including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, measuring performance, providing feedback, and leading meetings.
    • Ensure that Loan QA meets or exceeds department goals, quality, and service standards.
    • Guide accurate and timely completion of Quality Assurance team responsibilities.
    • Collaborate across business units on process updates and communications resulting from changing regulatory and/or credit requirements.
    • Develop and improve procedures, tools, checklists and working instructions for team responsibilities.
    • Ensure proper loan quality controls in place to mitigate risks and periodic control assessment for new loan and loan servicing related activities.
    • Ensure loans are documented properly, demonstrate collateral perfection, and critical loan data is accurate in the bank’s core loan system according to policies, procedures and system capabilities.
    • Manage and ensure accurate exception tracking process in accordance with loan agreements, covenants, approved requests, credit policy, and bank procedures, exception resolution, and reporting.
    • Determine loan sampling methodology to perform credit and regulatory reviews and report results.
    • Coordinate activities to ensure HMDA and CRA data integrity, and Fair Lending, Truth in Lending, TRID, flood, and other federal and state regulatory compliance.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert and key representative for the Loan QA team.

    Technical/Functional Competencies

    • Good understanding of financial institution products and services
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across business units, operations and credit departments
    • Excellent leadership, process management, conflict management, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to initiate tasks and projects with little or no supervision.

    Education and Professional Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or finance
    • Three or more years of progressive experience in banking, lending, or operations
    • Previous supervisory experience with proven team building, mentoring, training and coaching skills
    • Experience with Jack Henry Silverlake software
    • Microsoft Excel skills and/or data analysis
    • Expertise with loan documentation, lien perfection, collateral perfection, credit monitoring, document tracking and management, lending related regulatory requirements, and management reporting
    • Knowledge and experience with document and/or item exception tracking and document imaging systems

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $70,958.45 - $135,734.91 per year
