    About the role

    Serves as a liaison between Loan Officers, Clients, and Processors to ensure all requirements are met to service client needs. This role is essential to the smooth operations of our Mortgage Lending team, and has both client interaction as well as back-office work, including ensuring all documentation has been collected for customer transactions to be completed. This role works alongside our lending officers to ensure loan files are organized and prepared for completion.

    This role does not take applications or conduct business as an MLO.

    Position is located in Pierre and is not a remote position.

    What you will do

    • Reviews 1003 to make sure all necessary fields are completed.
    • Thoroughly completes file contacts.
    • Reviews disclosure tracking to confirm disclosure dates match actual dates disclosed.
    • Confirms sufficient residency years, employer years, cash to close and other requirements.
    • Contacts agents to determine if there is a title or a survey preference, if one is required or requested.
    • Requests documents from all 3rd parties, such as realtors, insurance agents, CPA’s.
    • Ensures disclosures are mailed or electronically delivered within their time parameters.
    • Ensures required documentation is received by all parties in a timely manner, and follows up with appropriate parties as necessary to ensure signatures and completion.
    • Follows up on appraisal assignments and title work and ensures timely return.
    • Reviews lock, check subject property address, county, loan amount, LTV, escrow waivers, rate, borrowers names and FICO scores. Updates as necessary during the processing period.
    • Communicates and updates the system by using all available resources to ensure tracking of all items for the Processor, Loan Officer, and Closer.
    • Ensures documents in the file are complete, all required pages are included, and are legible or executed.
    • Ensures items are placed in the unassigned folder for review by Processor.
    • Submits a reviewed file to the Processor for completed review and preparation of files for underwriting.
    • Provides regular updates to Loan Officers and Processors on the status of applications in progress.
    • Monitors Loan Officer “pipelines” as assigned to ensures closing dates are met.
    • Completes Adverse process for the Loan Officer within the system.
    • Assists in preparation of closing and sales call reports (information to be provided by LO).
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What you will need

    • 2 years of experience in a processing or origination related role preferred.
    • Preference given to candidates with administrative assistant background or with mortgage experience.
    • Associates degree preferred, but not required.
    • Strong organization skills required to succeed in this role.
    • Working knowledge of DocuSign or ability to learn program.
