Job Overview:
As the Indirect Lending Manager, you will be instrumental in steering the growth and integrity of our indirect lending portfolio. Your mission will be to foster robust partnerships with auto dealerships and manage lending activities to align with our Association's esteemed standards. This role demands a blend of strategic relationship building, keen analytical abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of lending practices. We are in search of candidates with a strong background in business or finance, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in indirect lending or related fields.

Duties:
Forge and deepen relationships with auto dealerships, both existing and prospective, to diversify and strengthen our indirect lending sources.

• Strategically manage our indirect loan portfolio, ensuring its growth and maintaining credit quality to align with our Association's standards.

• Utilize and navigate Dealertrack and RouteOne platforms with proficiency to streamline operations.

• Conduct regular visits to dealerships to reinforce existing relationships and establish new ones, aiming for mutual growth.

• Process and oversee funding contracts, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.

• Collaborate with dealership personnel to resolve discrepancies in loan applications, ensuring alignment with our standards.

• Address and resolve any loan-related concerns or discrepancies between dealers and members, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory experience.

• Recommend innovative product and program enhancements to leadership, based on dealer feedback and competitive landscape analysis.

• Engage with the community and industry associations to uncover new business opportunities and stay abreast of market trends.

• Stay informed about relevant local, state, and federal regulations to ensure full compliance and informed decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is desired, or equivalent experience (3 years) in a similar role.

• A proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with dealers, coupled with experience in underwriting auto indirect loans and effective portfolio management.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Indirect Dealer business and the ability to position Aroostook Savings & Loan as a preferred financing partner.

• Proficiency in Consumer Lending practices, including loan documentation, processing, underwriting, and disbursement.

• Flexibility to work during extended hours as business needs dictate.

• While not mandatory, active registration with NMLS will be considered an advantage.
