Mortgage Loan Servicing Clerk, Sr. jobs in Baltimore, MD

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer/Chief Production Officer

Overall Summary: As a Loan Officer you will be responsible for generating a pipeline and submitting complete loan application files.

Essential Skills: Must be extremely meticulous with excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills and proficiency are necessary. Must be able to prioritize and balance workload while managing constant interruptions in a fast paced and demanding environment. Must have excellent follow through and able to interact with all levels of customers both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

• Performs business development tasks, including managing a pipeline by generating leads and referral business, and maintaining relationships with existing and past clients.
• Communicates with loan applicants to explain the risks and benefits, as well as terms of various loan products and government regulations.
• Prepares mortgage loans files by reviewing loan applications and clarifying and verifying information provided.
• Obtains mortgage loan documentation by ordering credit reports, appraisals, titles, and other related information.
• Calculates principal, interest and closing cost amounts and notifies borrower.
• Monitors pipeline to ensure applications are accurate, complete, and moving through the approval process and closing in a timely fashion.
• Develops and maintains a marketing database of new, existing, and previous customers for the solicitation of new business to support marketing plan.

Required Experience:

• NMLS License Required
• Knowledge of lending terminology and the ability to speak with borrowers regarding lending requirements
• Prior experience with client relationships and the ability to cultivate new relationships
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Encompass experience a plus
