Mortgage Operations Manager oversees all mortgage lending operations, including verifying property appraisals, marketing loan products, and loan processing. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the mortgage department including processing, underwriting, closing and recording of first and second mortgage loans. The Operations Manager will work closely with loan processors, underwriters and loan officer assistants to ensure quality, efficiency and an superior customer experience throughout the loan cycle.
The Operations Manager is responsible to ensure that all loans are in compliance with all financial federal and state regulations (RESPA, HMDA, Financial Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting, Truth In Lending Disclosure, etc.) and thus requires a complete working knowledge related to real estate transactions, mortgage processing, underwriting to FNMA and FHLMC standards.
