The Challenge (Job Summary)

As a payment processor, you have the opportunity to live our core values every day by helping our patients in all walks of life, providing high quality care, working with an excellent team, being a trusted resource for our patients and team members, and having an impact in the community through our engagement and volunteer efforts. In addition, the ideal candidate will be responsible for recording and processing payments from patients and Insurance.

Your Day to Day & Essential Functions:

• Complies with HIPAA and OSHA regulatory requirements.
• Accept, document, and issue receipts for payments made in person, over the phone, online, or through the mail.
• Works closely with internal departments to resolve all payment issues.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Meet department standards for quality, quantity and turn-time standard.
• Makes daily payment changes for clients via email and communication from other departments.

What You Need to Succeed (Competencies, Education):

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in billing environment preferred.
• Epic experience preferred but not required.
• Able to organize and process office workflow efficiently and effectively.
• Demonstrated knowledge in medical terminology and insurance explanation of benefits verbiage
• Proven abilities with computer programs, especially spreadsheets/Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
• Ability to work individually and on a team.
• Ability to multitask.
