Job Overview:
This is an open position for a DEX Systems POS Analyst on the Optic, Payments/Credit, and DEX technology team.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the definition, design, administration, support and monitoring of Payment Terminals, Point of Sale and related hardware, software, and databases. You will conduct system monitoring and reviews. Additionally, you will prepare documentation and specifications for proposals, and complete the design, preparation, editing, and testing of systems and computer programs.

Administers, manages and monitors all systems, including databases, in development, test and production environments

Designs, implements and manages system security requirements and control mechanisms, including, but not limited to, users, groups, roles, and permissions in all environments

Oversees all activities relevant to building, testing, certifying, piloting and rolling out a system or solution; ensures that all programs and/or databases comply with all standards and function correctly

Schedules, tracks and communicates all deployments

Serve as the Liaison between vendors, the business units, and our internal IT teams to ensure customer needs are met by reviewing and documenting requirements, statuses and associated issues

Reviews and documents project requirements and designs and recommends alternative solutions

Develops and improves the effectiveness of changes to specialized systems and databases that result in solving specific business problems; recommends improvements accordingly

Researches and recommends IT tools to improve the efficiency of programs and databases

Keeps abreast of technology, customer needs and industry related trends

Provide Tier 3 level support to Speedway help desk personnel to troubleshoot and resolve Help Desk calls.

Be available to provide 24/7 tier 3 level on-call support if required; support phone is rotated.

Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management
Job Requirements:
Eligibility Requirements:
Experience working with a POS system, including Site Server, Credit Server. Experience working with Fuel Controller, Pumps, and CRINDs. Ability to troubleshoot and fix complex issues relating to the entire Business Unit.
Education Level:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience

If Degreed, preferred Major: MIS or Computer Science
Work Experience Desired:

Minimum of 3 years working with POS systems.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.

Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to read code and communicate the needs of the business to a technical team of developers

High level of organization
Other Skills:
-
Experience with SQL queries, Postman, WINScp, JIRA, Zephyr required.

Expert in Quality Assurance best practice and development of Test Plans.

5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

Experience with testing automation a plus.

2-3 years of experience with hybrid resource environments that can include changing mixes of in-house, contractor- and/or partner-provided resources.

Solid understanding of Agile SDLC

Strong writing and communication skills.

Experience maintaining and enhancing a Point of Sale system.

Familiarity with POS data and functions; items, barcode, sales, voids, promotions, specials, discounts, methods of payment, electronic journaling, taxes, etc.

Test new hardware and software and recommend changes as needed.

Responsible for providing advanced support on escalated calls from Store Support relating to hardware and/or software issues.
