    Summary:

     

    The Quality Assurance Analyst will work in the Information Technology team and conduct manual and automated testing of the software from a functional and user perspective. This is a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with agile development lifecycles, so the ability to quickly adapt is a must. This position requires effective collaboration to achieve timely deliverables with high performance, scalability and reliability of the service. This position reports to a Sr IT leader. We are looking for a highly self-motivated and energetic individual to fill this role.

    Responsibilities

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
    • Review processes and recommend updates to best practices and process.
    • Lead QA team members in quality best practices and define standards for use of JIRA and JIRA test manager.
    • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify software defects and ensure that all product functionalities are working as intended.
    • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to ensure the overall quality of software releases.
    • Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking tools, and work with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Participate in the design and development of automated test frameworks and test suites to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
    • Conduct and be responsible for root cause analysis of identified issues and provide recommendations for process improvements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
    • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and quality assurance trends to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or prior work experience can substitute for a degree.
    • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
    • Experience or knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
    • Familiarity with testing tools, bug tracking systems, and test management software.
    • Basic programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or C .
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

     

    Education and/or Experience   

    • 3-5 years minimum work experience as a QA Engineer/Analyst
    • Experience with worker’s compensation systems is a plus.
    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent educational/work experience.
    • Ability to share and quickly learn new quality assurance testing concepts.
    • Above average knowledge of Microsoft office.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where teamwork is a must.
    • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, learns new applications quickly, and tests on a variety of platforms.
    • Able to perform all of the regular functions commonly required in quality assurance testing.
    • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
    • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web application testing.
    • Understanding of database concepts and SQL.

                                                                                                        

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    • Certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
