    Job Summary:
    SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry and much more. We design & manufacture complex, high performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. Our production group, technologies, & products are at the heart of aerospace industry and the world's leading aircraft jet engine & gearbox manufacturers at our Falconer, NY location. The Falconer site also hosts people reporting to the Aerospace NA Sales unit, Aerospace RDE engineering and testing teams, plus various Business Unit staff functions. The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for development and maintenance of production quality standards and documentation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Responsibility for development and maintenance of production quality standards and documentation.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Defining quality requirements for new products and preparing/maintaining necessary documentation,
    • Monitor production quality performance to identify opportunities for improvement,
    • Review and maintenance of quality files, procedures, Job Books, work instructions, etc. for relevance and adherence to MSA Quality System, customer and regulatory compliance.
    • Purchase Order Reviews, Root Cause Identification and Corrective Actions, Source Inspection and Release Activities, Coordination of Customer sourcing activities, preparation of First Article Inspection Reports, participation in customer and third-party audits, submission of MRBs, processing of claims, and assisting with customer satisfaction activities.
    • Draft, edit, revise, and update as necessary all documents associated with the Quality System, Quality Manual and SQF.
    • Serve as the Management Representative for the Quality System and Alternate SQF Practitioner.
    • Ensure that processes needed for the Quality System are established, implemented, and maintained.
    • Maintain and report on the performance of the Quality System and any need for improvement.
    • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
    • Administration of Calibration program.
    • Administration of Corrective Action Request system and Customer Complaints
    • Customer responsibilities include Pratt Whitney, Honeywell, Hamilton Sundstrand, others as required.

    Job Requirements:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Business is preferred.
    • 3-5 years of relevant work experience is desired.
    • Candidates with equivalent education and experience will be considered.
    • Candidates should be highly motivated; team oriented and possesses excellent people and communication skills.
    • Experience in the use of PCs, (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint), COM, XA and Cognos Impromptu a plus.
