We are seeking a dynamic Quality Assurance Department Manager with a robust background in quality management and a track record of successfully implementing QA processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with a commitment to continuous improvement. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product and service excellence is essential for this role. 

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in upholding and enhancing our quality standards for both AGM and Ascension products and incoming supplier parts. 

Essential Functions

• Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to establish quality and reliability standards.
• Formulate and maintain Quality Assurance Department objectives, coordinating with production procedures to optimize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Actively participate in AGM's Material Review Board (MRB).
• Direct inspection and testing activities, ensuring control over incoming and outgoing materials.
• Provide leadership in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) inspection techniques.
• Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
• Investigate and address customer complaints regarding quality issues.
• Serve as AGM’s Quality System (QS) Manager, leading internal and external quality system audits.
• Manage the Corrective Action Report (CAR) program, addressing internal, supplier, and customer corrective action requests.
• Collect and maintain quality records, including supplier ratings, inspection results, and dispositions.
• Interface with internal and external management, customers, and suppliers through various communication channels.
• Act as a liaison with customer auditors and inspectors, ensuring AGM is prepared for source inspections.
• Administer maintenance and calibration programs for tools and equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise the Quality Assurance Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating employee performance and conducting performance management activities.

Qualifications

• Four-year college or university degree in science or math; three to five years related experience in quality assurance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5M.
• GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Certification.

• Strong mathematical skills, including probability and statistical inference.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and write in English effectively.
• Proficient in interpreting business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Problem-solving ability in situations with limited standardization.
• Advanced computer skills.

Certificates/Licenses Required

• GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Certification.
• Potential license requirement of Salary employees: AGM's insurance company requires a valid Arizona driver's license, a valid driver's license from any U.S. state for at least 3 years, and no driving violations in the last 6 months.
