Mortgage Underwriting Manager provides quality mortgage loans to customers. Reviews and develops all aspects of mortgage loan guidelines to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Being a Mortgage Underwriting Manager monitors processes and systems of mortgage loans and promotes the new line of businesses. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Mortgage Underwriting Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mortgage Underwriting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Mortgage Underwriting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Lead and manage a branch team of self-generated loan officers.

- Recruit, train, and mentor loan officers to maximize their performance and productivity.
- Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners, real estate agents, and other industry professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the loan process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mortgage Branch Manager.
- Active NMLS license in good standing.
- Proven track record of success in mortgage origination and sales.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
