Mortgage Underwriting Manager jobs in Kingsport, TN
Mortgage Underwriting Manager provides quality mortgage loans to customers. Reviews and develops all aspects of mortgage loan guidelines to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Being a Mortgage Underwriting Manager monitors processes and systems of mortgage loans and promotes the new line of businesses. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Mortgage Underwriting Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mortgage Underwriting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Mortgage Underwriting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Compensation:$50,000 - $200,000
Responsibilities:- Interface with realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction while overseeing all customer interactions
- Maintain and build relationships through networking and prospecting with bankers, realtors, builders, and your community to attract new business
- Manage a large pipeline of loans to ensure your production meets our requirements
- Ensure all phases of the loan process are performed in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines
- Work closely with industry related professionals to gather and prepare all necessary information to complete underwriting requirements
- Current NMLS State License or Federal NMLS Registration
