Job Description-Theater Projectionist
· Part Time

The projectionist is responsible for providing The Giant Screen Theater patrons with a flawless cinematic experience. Public speaking before audiences is required from time to time. This person should exhibit exceptional judgment, be well-organized, dedicated, efficient and communicative. He / She should understand the Giant Screen Theater mission and have an appreciation for the mission
Duties and Responsibilities
· Operate digital cinema projectors (primary formats DCP, Blu-ray, and Mac-based digital files)
· Oversee picture and sound quality throughout each show.
· Ensures high-quality presentation of live events, facility rentals and other special theater events.
· Ability to set up and calibrate projection equipment, ensuring proper alignment, focus, and color balance.
· Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that may arise, such as equipment malfunctions or film jams.
· Assists with cleaning theaters between shows.
· Provides support to concessions and box office

Job Requirements
· Projection and / or stage audio experience is ideal but not required
· PC and Mac operating systems
· Strong Communication
· Ability to lift to 50 pounds, to include while climbing the stairs
· Vision requirements are critical to the position and include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
· Must be able to discriminate visual colors (ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of brightness)
· Ability to detect or tell the difference between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness.
· Flexible Schedule-must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed.
