Motorcycle Mechanic/Repairer repairs and maintains motorcycles. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Motorcycle Mechanic/Repairer may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Motorcycle Mechanic/Repairer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Job Summary:
Provide training for students in the area motorcycle operation, roadway and traffic hazards, recognition of potential accident hazards, conditioning of reflexes and decision making. Provide students with an understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary to secure maximum safe and efficient use of motorcycles; to stimulate a desire to excel in skills, instill knowledge that collision free driving can be accomplished.
