This position would report directly to the Director of Sales and Operations, who is a high performing role model for someone who is looking to grow their career in the power sports industry. Work week is typically Tuesday to Saturday, with every Sunday and Monday off!
This position will be one of the most critical in the organization and the right individual will have the ability to make immediate and substantial impacts to our success with flawless execution of the job requirements. The right candidate will have the ability to grow professionally with our dealership(s) and further their career and expand their role accordingly. The position will require a minimum of 40 hours a week.
This position requires an individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills, product knowledge, the ability to multitask, a disciplined work ethic, and a strong enthusiasm for the powersports industry. This person must have the ability to deal with managing the daily operations of our service department while maintaining a high level of customer service and communication. This position will require communicating with customers both over the phone and face to face in the dealership.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist the Leadership Team in growing and maintaining a smooth-running efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
· Diagnose problems accurately, and clearly describe them on the repair order. Estimate costs and completion times at the point of sale. Clearly, communicate them to the customer.
· Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and current resource utilization. Review work-in-progress to ensure quality and timeliness.
· Occasionally assist technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work.
· Determine correct part numbers on repair orders and assist the parts department with picking and posting of parts used before job starts.
· Maintaining the appropriate parts inventory, which includes ordering and management of slow moving inventory.
· Perform cashier functions. Run general errands.
· Make estimates for internal and wreck repairs.
· Open & close all customer paid, warranty, and internal repair orders.
· Follow procedures for the quick & efficient handling of warranty items, including tagging and proper storage of these items.
· Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for service & parts management.
· Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
· Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
· Handle telephone transactions quickly, and courteously.
· Notify customers ASAP of any changes, delays, or additional work needed. Avoid setting high customer expectation levels in situations where expectations are not likely to be met.
· Sell additional services by pointing out service specials or additional work needed. Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to “Make Things Right”.
· Give special attention to repeat repairs to ensure the situation is corrected.
· Avoid making commitments which can’t (or likely will not) be met. Set customers’ expectations to a level where they will likely be met.
· Treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, and with dignity.
· Model superior customer service behavior for all interactions.
· Ensure proper follow up of all prospective buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a CRM system.
· Input and updating of the CRM for all daily activity for customer and lead contact.
· Responsible for ensuring that records and analyses are correctly maintained.
· Creating a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel and maintaining these relationships.
· Ensure compliance with safeguarding customer information and other programs (red flags), all other federal, state and local laws - OSHA, EPA safeguards, 8300, red flags information security program.
· Monitor and safeguard company assets (i.e. Company vehicles, inventory and equipment).
· Complete training as directed by management.
· Follow policies and procedures as set forth in the Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate policies.
· Responsible for moving bikes in and out of the dealership, and storing bikes properly.
· There will be time greeting, talking to customers, developing relationships and selling product utilizing our feature/benefit selling methodology.
· Understand motorcycles and electric bikes by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing competitive models and other available options.
· Provide a positive and highly ethical sales experience to all customers.
· Must also remain current with product updates.
· Daily use of CRM software to input and seek contact data.
