Notre Dame International (NDI) seeks a dynamic and self-motivated Multimedia Specialist to join its communications team. In collaboration with colleagues around the world, the Multimedia Specialist will lead the planning, development, and creation of engaging and compelling content across multiple NDI platforms that support strategic communications across NDI. The Multimedia Specialist manages and executes video production, photography, and other media for diverse audiences. This position requires graphic design skills to manage both print and digital projects, as well as social media content for campus and Global Gateways and Centers, ensuring all channels are dynamic, up-to-date, and consistently evolving in line with NDI's priorities.
Working closely with the team on campus and at the Global Gateways and Centers, the successful candidate will:
- Serve as a videographer and photographer, managing projects related specifically to NDI initiatives
- Work independently to plan and execute all creative aspects of video production (including scheduling, camera, lighting, and audio), both for on-campus and international projects
- Manage the design process and production of print and digital materials in collaboration with central Marketing Communications for Global Gateways, Centers and NDI campus units
- Guide and assist with presentations and other visual content for NDI team as requested
- Direct, shoot and edit compelling video and photo content for all social media platforms to build brand awareness and drive engagement
- Create static, and animated assets with an elevated aesthetic
- Develop content that supports strategic communications at each Gateway and Center
- Maintain archive of photography and video assets
The candidate must have experience as a videographer with strong storytelling skills and video editing skills. A portfolio is required to show video, print, and electronic communication expertise. A modest level of design skill is required; the multimedia specialist will work with Notre Dame's Marketing Communications team for larger projects.

This is a hybrid-optional position, up to two days remote per week if desired. The multimedia strategist reports to the Communications Director; occasional international travel may be required.
Notre Dame International (NDI) is a division of the University of Notre Dame responsible for furthering the University's global strategy through Study Abroad, Global Engagement Programs, and International Student and Scholar Affairs. NDI's 11 Global Gateways and Centers, located in nine countries, provide intellectual hubs for international partnerships, faculty research and student programs. NDI also supports students, faculty, and staff in providing international travel safety training and resources for international travel.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in video production, new media communications, journalism, communications, graphic design, or related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience in video production and editing, communications, marketing, or other multimedia environments
- Previous experience in graphic design
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with technical aspects of video recording, lighting, and sound recording and production
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills, including a keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education
- International exposure or experience
