    Position Overview: We are seeking self-motivated individuals to join our team as Budtenders. The Budtender will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, educating customers about cannabis products, and contributing to our expansion efforts. This position offers opportunities for career development and advancement within our organization for those who share our mission and values along with a passion for cannabis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Open and close store (by yourself once fully trained).
    • Greet and welcome customers with a positive attitude.
    • Check-in legal cannabis consumers by scanning and checking valid forms of ID.
    • Complete all initial product/sales and systems training.
    • Provide personalized assistance and product recommendations based on customer. preferences. If you have previous sales experience in upselling this will come more naturally.
    • Educate customers about various cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods.
    • Ask for customer emails and build consumer and patient relationships to gather a loyal consumer base and foster trust.
    • Accurately weigh, label and package cannabis products for sale.
    • Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
    • Participate in ongoing training programs and professional development opportunities to improve your leadership, technical, and sales skills and help to train new coworkers.
    • Handle customer complaints if they arise.
    • Contribute to community engagement initiatives and promotional events.
    • Check shifts for future workdays and alert the general manager if you have any scheduling conflicts.
    • Complete Daily Budtender Checklist:
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, by restocking shelves/display cases.
    • Sweep/Vacuum/Mop and sanitize all surfaces daily.
    • Clean all glass displays daily.
    • Clean restroom daily including sink, toilet, floors and refill soap and sanitizer dispensers.
    • Restock budtender station with receipt paper, labels, bags, staples, hand sanitizer, etc.
    • Check that the lobby has been organized and all reading materials are neatly displayed.
    • Log into POS system and set up cash from general manager.
    • Shovel snow from parking lot bollards and apply salt to icy areas.
    • Sweep the parking lot for cigarette butts and trash several times daily to assure a clean and professional appearance.
    • Assist Vendor manager in counting inventory.

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least 21 years old.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods is preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Having a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays.
