Two undergraduate positions available
- Research assistant for identifying published works relating to the Madaba Plains Archaeological Project. Use library databases/other resources to locate relevant works.
- Research assistant for the digitization of print materials related to the Madaba Plains Archaeological Project. Prepare materials for scanning, perform the actual scanning, and do the post-scanning processing to prepare the digitized file for saving/online access.
- Research assistant for the institutional repository. Post digitized materials to the institutional repository including robust metadata/full text objects.
- Research assistant for preparing digital exhibits featuring the Madaba Plains Archaeological Project.
- Position ends when project completed.

Ability to understand instructions in English and to work with a minimum of supervision.
Duties and responsibilities
Perform tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Bibliographic searching for publications relating to the Madaba Plains Archaeological Project using both online and print tools.
- Preparing and digitizing paper-based publications using appropriate equipment.
- Posting digitized publications to the institutional repository and including robust metadata and full text objects.
- Preparing digital exhibits to showcase resources.

Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend English.
- Ability to understand instructions and training in English and follow through on instructions without constant supervision.
- Attention to detail and well-organized.
- Full-time Andrew University student.
- If international, must have the necessary visa to work in the USA and have a USA bank account for direct deposit of wages.
- Ability to consistently work at least 10 hours a week. Attendance at team meetings required.
- Ability to work remotely and document productivity.
Desired Qualifications (not required)
- Comfort and proficiency in using computers with a range of computing applications.
- Interest in Archaeology and Middle East history and culture
