The National Accounts Manager typically work with national accounts and other strategically important clients. Develops relationships with the largest and most complex clients in order to increase revenue. Being a National Accounts Manager has detailed knowledge of products and services being offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and seeks business expansion opportunities with current clients. In addition, National Accounts Manager visits client locations periodically to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Provides sales quotations and responds to requests for proposals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a National Accounts Manager works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     Job Overview:

     

    The Relationship Management Associate is responsible for partnering with Relationship Managers in the Strategic Relationship Group (aka. National Accounts team) to develop and strengthen relationships with senior management, sales management and the analyst community to drive our U.S. Retail strategy. This position requires outstanding teamwork and collaboration with a strong emphasis on client facing activities.

     

    We’ll trust you to:

    • Build Relationships with Product, Platform and Research teams at our Partner Firms (Broker Dealers across the Wirehouse, Bank and Independent channels)
    • Strategize with Relationship Managers to drive profitable growth
    • Collaborate across the firm to launch and scale products with a focus on Alternatives, Separately Managed Accounts and select Mutual Funds
    • Schedule and conduct sales desk meetings/presentations with Partner Firms
    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Data, Legal and Operations on Enterprise level and Partner Firm-specific initiatives
    • Help Regional Managers (External sales) and Advisor Consultants (Internal sales) improve market share through enhanced territory management
    • Track sales and assets data, create and maintain templates to facilitate efficient analysis and reporting
    • Develop in depth knowledge of Lord Abbett’s product suite and communicate it effectively to clients
    • Gain a complete understanding of firm and business economics for U.S. Retail
    • Represent Lord Abbett at Partner Firm / Industry conferences and events

    You'll need to have:

    • 2-5 years of industry experience preferred
    • Willingness to travel on a weekly basis
    • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to follow-up effectively
    • Knowledge of the wealth management industry and trends
    • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
    • Collaborative team player
    • High sense of urgency and high degree of initiative / self-motivation
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, high energy, action-oriented
    • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is preferred

    Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $100,000 - $110,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

    Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
