National Accounts Manager jobs in Tampa, FL

The National Accounts Manager typically work with national accounts and other strategically important clients. Develops relationships with the largest and most complex clients in order to increase revenue. Being a National Accounts Manager has detailed knowledge of products and services being offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and seeks business expansion opportunities with current clients. In addition, National Accounts Manager visits client locations periodically to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Provides sales quotations and responds to requests for proposals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a National Accounts Manager works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     The Vice President of National Accounts will spearhead efforts to build, develop, and maximize relationships with national, strategic, or multi-state accounts focused on achieving profitability.  These activities include planning, reporting, goal setting and management, sales process optimization, and training of national accounts.  He/she will provide a high level of customer service to these accounts, acting as their liaison to other departments within the organization, including sales, agency compliance, underwriting and product. 

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead business development efforts to create and build a portfolio of multi-state, strategic, and/or national accounts to achieve long-term success.
    • Own the strategy and execution for engaging our largest national partners to maximize profitable growth.
    • Own the relationship with national and strategic partnerships, once partnered, enabling those partnerships to grow.
    • Align with the organization’s objectives using firm business strategies through active participation in strategic planning, sales development, forecasting and sales resource planning.
    • Lead exploratory discussions with prospective partners to determine market fit, size, and readiness for product offerings.
    • Work cross-functionally and serve as the liaison between our partners and American Integrity leadership, product, pricing, underwriting, legal, and other functional teams.
    • Develop pitch, presentation and positioning for new products or partner segments.
    • Manage pipelines of target partners.
    • Nurture and grow existing partnerships both internally and externally.
    • Respond to new sales inquiries and sales requests within specified timeframe.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and new developments to educate your customers and add value to working with American Integrity.
    • Continue to hunt for new customers and opportunities to grow the sales funnel.
    • Monitor and analyze sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and use data to guide informed decision-making with respect to growing a profitable portfolio.
    • Develop positive relationships with agency stakeholders.
    • Act as the point of contact with the organization and handle agents’ individual needs.
    • Represent company at trade association meetings and events to promote product and organization.
    • Report essential product information, changes, or adjustments needed, including agent feedback, to the Product Department.
    • Monitor and communicate the activities (such as filings) and products of the competition to appropriate internal partners. Promote the maximization of the organization's competitive position in the marketplace.
    • Work closely with strategic national account partners to build a multi-state presence with American Integrity.
    • Additional duties as needed.

    What You’ll Need to be a Top Candidate

    Education:                           Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.); or related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.

    Experience:                         5-7 years’ experience Business Development in Property and Casualty Insurance required.

    Skills & Knowledge:         

    • Polished communication skills with skill in interpersonal relationships including client de-escalation.
    • Experience meeting commitments to clients and managing client relationships.
    • Experience in communicating with varied organizational tiers and customer types.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Presentation skills including delivery to clients and varied organizational tiers.
    • Ability to work individually and in a team environment to meet company and client needs.
    • Understanding of market and competition as well as the business implications of decisions.
    • Experienced and Knowledgeable in the principles and methods for promoting and selling products and services.
    • API, 2-20 License, CIC recommended
    • Intermediate User- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Salesforce.

    Your Environment

    Working Conditions:         Normal business office environment.  Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone.  The person in this position needs to occasionally move                                                      about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery or communicate with coworkers.

    Schedule:                           In office in Tampa, FL unless traveling

    Travel:                                 As required.
