The National Accounts Manager typically work with national accounts and other strategically important clients. Develops relationships with the largest and most complex clients in order to increase revenue. Being a National Accounts Manager has detailed knowledge of products and services being offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and seeks business expansion opportunities with current clients. In addition, National Accounts Manager visits client locations periodically to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Provides sales quotations and responds to requests for proposals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a National Accounts Manager works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. The Vice President of National Accounts will spearhead efforts to build, develop, and maximize relationships with national, strategic, or multi-state accounts focused on achieving profitability. These activities include planning, reporting, goal setting and management, sales process optimization, and training of national accounts. He/she will provide a high level of customer service to these accounts, acting as their liaison to other departments within the organization, including sales, agency compliance, underwriting and product.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.); or related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5-7 years’ experience Business Development in Property and Casualty Insurance required.
Skills & Knowledge:
Working Conditions: Normal business office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery or communicate with coworkers.
Schedule: In office in Tampa, FL unless traveling
Travel: As required.
