Job Description
We are recruiting a Network Technician for our growing business. The Network Technician role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Troubleshoot Issues with networking equipment (switches, routers, data drops, wireless access points and other hardware).
- Manager 3rd party applications, including installation, configuring and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve software and hardware issues.
- Participate in network technology upgrades or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing.
- Support users/clients in a Microsoft Dynamics Environment.
- Deploy, upgrade, configure, reimage and/or troubleshoot:
- PC OS
- Microsoft Office Products
- Zebra, Datamax, HP and other printers
- VoIP phones
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field of study/experience.
- Understanding of computer network infrastructure.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to think through problems and visualize solutions.
- Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
- Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using documentation and internet resources.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Direct knowledge of: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDP
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory, Windows, Group Policy, Windows registry, Windows File and Print, TCP/IP, Firewalls and Anti-Malware.
- Not Required, but experience is a plus:
- Microsoft Dynamics
- Fortigate Firewall
- A Certifications or comparable certifications
- Knowledge of MacOS and Linux
SCHEDULE
- Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm
