Help Desk Technician / Network Administrator

    The SecureSight Information Technology Team provides real-time 24x7 support (remotely and/or in person) to thousands of client desktops and devices around the United States. The IT Help Desk Technician/Network Administrator provides on-site and remote technical guidance, assistance, coordination and follow-up on customer questions, problems or malfunctions of all PC-related issues with a goal of first contact resolution. As a member of the Information Technology team, the position collaborates with other members to provide an IT environment that is consistent with the goals of SecureSight, industry best practices and meets/exceeds the needs of our Clients.

    About The Job
    The IT Help Desk Technician/Network Administrator is critical to keeping SecureSight and our Clients running securely and efficiently. IT Help Desk Technicians/Network Administrators are essential people in our business. In this role, you'll play an important part in helping to keep our Clients across the country productive.

    Being a part of our IT Department means you will help SecureSight’s operations evolve at scale through collaboration with your teammates in an effort to find innovative ways to make our support environment more efficient. You’ll provide front-line user support to our Clients on a daily basis. Beyond the day-to-day, you will be contributing to a variety of initiatives, such as process improvements, and documentation efforts that help support our internal processes and our Clients.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Support Windows desktop and laptop computers via phone, chat, email and on-site
    • General access and connectivity issues
    • Support and solve desktop application issues; elevate to Level 2 as needed
    • Basic administration of user accounts and groups
    • Take ownership of trouble tickets, working and tracking issues to resolution
    • Record detailed information into Service Desk ticketing system
    • Support for mobile devices such as iPhones and Android phones
    • Occasionally act as a liaison between Partners/Clients and third-party vendors
    • Utilize support applications to ensure timely resolution of client issues
    • Other duties as assigned




    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems
    • Comprehensive IT technical knowledge and experience with SMB
    • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016, or 2019, Active Directory, Exchange Servers
    • Experience with various brands of server hardware
    • Knowledge of enterprise backup solutions
    • In-depth knowledge of local and wide area networks, wireless networks & enterprise grade firewalls/routers
    • Experience with remote management support tools
    • Experience with vpn setups
    • Experience with Microsoft 365
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, time management, and client confidentiality required
    • Proficient in Active Directory
    Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in a Service or Help Desk/Support Center environment
    • 1 to 3 years of Network Administration experience​
    • College or Technical Institute degree in Information Technology or other related discipline required. May be substituted by 2 or more years of experience in a Help Desk/Call Center environment
    • IT Certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, HDI etc.) preferred

    Opportunity Location:

    • Sandusky, Ohio - This is a full-time position based out of our Sandusky, Ohio office, but will require travel to our customers locations throughout the local regional area. 65% of your time will be spent in the office with about 35% of time traveling in the local regional area (company car provided).
