Description

Robert Half is searching for a Network Administrator with experience and outstanding organizational skills to join a prominent company. To be successful in this role, you should have a can-do attitude and be an organized problem solver who is passionate about ensuring and maintaining a stable network infrastructure. You will support the business by developing, administering and maintaining the network infrastructure, making sure that the enterprise systems and related components are secure, have integrity, and are highly available. The software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems you will be working with are constantly changing. Your commitment to ongoing education will be important for staying current and fully informed. This Network Administrator is a permanent role in the Staunton, Virginia, area.

What you get to do every day

- Troubleshooting and fixing local area networks / wide area network problems, including performance, connectivity and related issues

- Managing the operation of all local area networks and services related to wide area networks, following company policies and procedures

- Providing control measures for LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam

- Coordinating and implementing network software and hardware upgrades

Requirements

- Experience in production environments and willingness to be on-call

- 2 years related experience

- Proficiency in Palo Alto Firewall

- Microsoft Windows Server experience desired

- Aruba experience

- Foundational knowledge in Cisco Hardware

- Understanding of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations

- Exceptional skills in troubleshooting, analytics and diagnostics
