The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for designing, configuring, modifying, and supporting the company's network systems.  Designs and installs LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.  Supports the LAN and WAN infrastructure, ensuring connectivity throughout the company. This role requires self-sufficiency to own this area of the business and a sense of urgency combined with technical expertise for timely resolution of problems and projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administer routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
• Manage security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Manage network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and Apps.
• Manage and create virtual networks for server infrastructure.
• Assist in administering the O365 environment, virtual environment and backup appliances.
• Create and maintain network diagrams and flow charts.
• Maintain corporate telecommunications systems.

•     Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights

•     Perform network systems backups and recovery

•     Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports

•     Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs

•     On-call availability

• Other tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

None

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.

5 years experience working in a Network Administrator or similar role.

3 years of supervisory experience

• Active Directory
• Microsoft Exchange (O365)
• VOIP, SIP, and IP Telephony
• Cisco Network Hardware (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, APs)
• PC and server hardware, printers, scanners, computer peripherals, and mobile devices (iOS and Android)
• Client PC connectivity – DNS, Ethernet, TCP/IP, MAC Addressing, and VPN
• Microsoft Windows PC and Server Operating Systems
• Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of end-users
• Ability to adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment.
• Sense of ownership in the area with the ability to be self-motivated and take action without direction.
