    The Network Administrators role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, and video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network Administrators will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required. We are looking for someone who is able to execute excellent customer service skills in a fast paced environment along with the following items:

    Requirements

     Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Work alongside other IT groups such as Systems and Helpdesk to deliver a network solution component for their various projects. 
    • Assist in end-user support and act as an escalation point for all network-related issues. 
    • Support and maintain on premise datacenter and hosted cloud tenant network operations. 
    • Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs. 
    • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. 
    • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. 
    • Design, deploy, and troubleshoot company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware. 
    • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry. 
    • Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. 
    • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services. 
    • Utilize multiple Internet Service Providers to acquire, deploy, and manage WAN circuits 
    • Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes. 
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed. 
    • Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances. 
    • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. 
    • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports. 
    • Participate in managing all network security solutions.

    Compensation/Rewards: 

    • The hiring range is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range of possible compensation at the time of the posting, and is subject to change. The actual compensation offered ($75,000 - $95,000.) will be determined by various factors, which may include a candidate’s education, training, experience, and geographic location.

    Education and Experience:

    • Degree in Computer Science and/or 2 years of equivalent work experience. Certifications in CCNA/JNCIS or CCNP/JNCIP preferred. Excellent hardware troubleshoot experience. Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDWAN and WWAN design and implementation, network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices. 

    Language Skills:

    • Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to write and speak effectively. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to write technically in a professional manner and in a style that can be understood by the user and technical staff. 

    Mathematical Ability: 

    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, interest and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. 

    Reasoning Ability:

    • Ability to quickly assimilate oral and written data to analyze facts and draw logical conclusions. 
    • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. 

    Computer Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access Strong hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Cisco IOS, JunOS, Windows Server, Linux. Knowledge of VoIP telephony systems. Working technical knowledge of current network, hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, OSPF, BGP, VRF, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, QOS/COS, IPSEC. Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits.

    • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. 
    • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. 
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment. 
    • Strong customer service orientation. 
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
