Position Summary
The network administrator is responsible for the designing, testing, development, maintenance, and security of all networks of the firm. They are responsible for the setting up of servers, firewalls, VLANS, switches, security protocols and applying patches as needed. They will organize and perform routine maintenances of all network devices and systems.

Requirements
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade firm’s network both wired and wireless, and the data center
- Research and apply security measures against all threats internal and external
- Specify system requirements, design solutions and document such plans
- Apply all needed updates and patches to keep the network up-to-date and free of holes
- Ensure network security by segmenting the network using VLANS, access rights and other security protocols
- Lead IT Support Specialists in maintaining all above listed assignments
- Provide Helpdesk support for escalated items
- Perform research on emerging technologies and find viable options for the firm
- Install and integrate new hardware and applications as per designs
- Assist Systems Administrator in maintaining server infrastructure
- Assist CIO in defining and maintaining all security policies
- Setup user accounts and access rights per defined security policies
- Develop, maintain firm’s hardware inventory and life cycle plans for budgeting and provide such estimates
- Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Skills, Characteristics, and Education
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of the firm and client information

- Demonstrated knowledge in evaluation, installation, repair, and replacement of hardware, software and accessories, along with Windows Server OS, VMWare, Security apps, Microsoft 365 Suite
- Experience and ability to lead IT Support Specialists and Tier 1 & 2 support
- Understanding of network setups, topologies, and security protocols
- Advanced knowledge of best practices around management, controls, and monitoring of server infrastructure
- Experience with firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, Wired and wireless networks, VLANS, Security and encryption protocols, Multi-factor authentications, backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related studies; or equivalent combined experience and education, is required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in network management and IT support is required
Working Environment
Adams Brown, LLC promotes a flexible work environment with a deep commitment to technology and modern work arrangements. Our offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout tax season and close at noon on Fridays outside of tax season. Additional hours (overtime) and travel may be required. Travel to other offices does not typically require overnight stays. Seasonal on call duties, with extended hours.
