Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kennel Manager to join our team. As a Kennel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kennel facility, cleaning kennels, bathing dogs, answering phones, employee scheduling, ensuring the well-being and care of all animals under our care, as well as supervising 2 kennel technicians. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for animal welfare. Grooming experience is a plus but not required.
Duties:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the kennel facility, including scheduling, staffing, and ensuring proper animal care
- Supervise kennel staff and provide training as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all animals, following proper sanitation protocols
- Monitor the health and well-being of all animals in the facility
- Assist with animal handling and provide basic grooming as necessary
- Oversee the intake processes for animals entering or leaving the facility
- Maintain accurate records of all animals in the facility, including medical history and behavioral assessments
- Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to pet owners
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure smooth operations
