Network Control Center Manager manages the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Directs testing, configuration changes, or upgrades to network hardware or software. Being a Network Control Center Manager oversees monitoring of the network traffic and performance to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Leads incident response and implements standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Manager develops capacity planning forecasts and strategies. Manages relations with vendors and service providers and monitors performance quality to ensure required service levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Control Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Control Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary

    Responsible for managing straight-forward to moderately complex projects through entire project lifecycle (inception, approval, planning, execution, and closeout) and coordinating technical aspects of projects (design, development, integration and test, trial and deployment). Act as a liaison with appropriate personnel to ensure project compliance to standards. Coordinate moderately complex high priority tasks. Assure feature and functionality and performance metrics requirements are defined. Initiate, facilitate and monitor specific intradepartmental (intradomain and cross-functional) project progress and performance to assure quality and on time delivery. Ensure milestone dates are met. Monitor risks during various stages of the project and escalate issues to the appropriate level of management. Maintain project status reports on projects. Create and manage contingency plans for projects. Evaluate impact change request against communicated timelines. Has experience, knowledge, and skills in technical discipline of supported domains. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

    Job Description

    Coordinate scoping and technical review activities for initiated programs and follow process for program approval throughout the intake and overall lifecycle.
    Create and track end to end project plan in conjunction with the lead engineer.
    Track tasks and milestones across all parties.
    Coordinate, manage and drive test organization activities.
    Facilitate bug triage, manage bug lists, track issue resolution with the lead engineer.
    Coordinate change request generation and tracking.
    Make project scheduling decisions in conjunction with the lead engineer or facilitate conversations necessary for decision making.
    Report on project's progress as required by product, engineering, and the senior leadership team.
    Identify and manage critical path and risk areas and create risk response and mitigation plans.
    Report weekly (or as necessary) on any risks/issues.
    Escalate issues as required to unblock open issues.
    Work with other project managers to track and manage inter-project/domain dependencies.
    Communicate updates on major milestones, escalations and status to lead engineer and lead project manager.
    Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Salary:

    Pay Range: $75,845.35 - $113,768.02

    Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
